Chapter 18: Are you really going to put a lady in that thing Dr. Bones?

The coffin rested in the void between dimensions.

Within this coffin, Dr. Bones was currently searching for something inside a heavy black wood wardrobe. Of course, since this is a story, we rejoin at the moment that he finds it!

He pulled out a skeleton!

It was a bulky four legged animal with hooves. It was however missing a head. It was missing a neck too. Instead there was a socket. This was clearly for patients who had survived beheading, but whose body could not be recovered or remade. As for why it was just a four-legged animal?

Well, turns out that it is a lot simpler to control and make.

Now, why might have Dr. Bones pulled this medical relic out?

Why, right near him was a certain potted fern.

A fern with the head of a maiden. She no longer had hair like a rose, but instead had curly leafy fronds (just like those of many ferns) framing her face like curtains. Her skin was still hot pink though. Her eyes were closed and she was sound asleep.

–Well, I’ve given her some memories of general knowledge… my fingers slipped a bit with medical knowledge, but it should be fine! Ok, time to connect her up, I’m not about to carry a potted plant around, and I’m sure she’d just get depressed left stuck somewhere.– Dr. Bones mused to himself.

Hoping she wouldn’t freak out too much, Dr. Bones connected the pot to the skeleton.
