Chapter 38: Arrival Unstasis

There was a loud thunk as the coffin hit something. The lights which had gone out flickered back to fitful life. Colour began to return to the inside of the coffin. When Pastella had kicked the coffin off course, emergency spells kicked in and put everything into stasis. First the colours of the room returned, then slowly they crawled up across Doctor Bones and Miss Fern.

The pair of them were quite disorientated from the abrupt stasis.

<Semi-stable dimension reached. Stasis has ended. Beginning internal scrying.>

“What? Why do I feel I’ve forgotten something doctor? Ohh, I’m so dizzy too” Ms. Fern muttered while wobbling around on her prosthetic body’s hooves.

Doctor Bones began flexing his arms, legs and wings.

-That’d be the disconnect from stasis. You ‘forgot’ the time in stasis… the medical knowledge I implanted in your seems to be coming loose.-

He also rattled his ribcage and any other bone he could. It was almost musical. Then he rattled the bones of Miss Fern’s prosthetics. That was musical, but it was partly because he was messing with her a bit.

“That is very disconcerting, could you please stop”

<Scrying complete. Dimensional shielding functions damaged, travel is not recommended until functions are restored. Scrying environs for… *beep* this location has been previously logged. Location confirmed, the land known as Elcon. Lab hidden nearby. Warning, mapping mostly ineffective. Displaying possible location of lab. Low odds of reagents for repairs located at the lab.>
