Chapter 22: Oboll T does not have a flight function

“… just how am I supposed to drive the caravamel through this?” Ismi complained.

Fancy Chill’s slush-bunny slammed the Chairseer’s machine into a conveyor belt, sending frozen ores flying everywhere like deadly missiles.

“I believe in you dear” Yerdl said from the back of the caravamel.

<You won’t defeat my Oboll T that easily!> The Chairseer roared, pulling up the conveyor belt it landed on and using it like a whip. This pushed back Slush-bunny as it was careful to avoid it’s black ears getting hit.

“So do I Mom!” Kejo cried, from even further back.

The Chairseer did not miss the fact that the slush-bunny carefully protected its black ears, the feathers from Fancy Chill. Going with the hunch that these were the weak points of the Slush-bunny, he directed Oboll T’s attacks at these ears.

“Right. Right! I’ll do this! We’ll get home!” Ismi said cracking the reins.

The attacks of Slush-bunny were suddenly far less oppressive. Before Slush-bunny had only been attacking fiercely as storm stirred waves against a cliff, but now it had to defend too.

Turmeric snorted at Ismi’s bravado, after all wasn’t he the one who was going to be doing all the work and dodging all the flying debris? Still he moved his three legs and began the perilous journey out of the forge home.

The Chairseer could breathe a bit easier, things weren’t quite as hopeless, and so he pushed his advantage, limbs wildly spinning, as did its chain tracks and drill. He was being too aggressive, and overcommitted, Slush-bunny wasn’t going to pass an opening like that up. It’s body moved like a whip and cracked into Oboll T. The Chairseer had forgotten to be careful about how fluid Slush-bunny was!

Ismi, Yerdl, Kejo and even the stout-hearted Turmeric gulped as Oboll T went flying above their heads from the force of the blow.

It crashed into one of the forges, scattering many mighty anvils and of the large hammers that was attached to a smith-machine went spinning right at the caravamel, at the same time, Slush-bunny turned its attention to the escaping caravamel, quickly forming a spear of ice!
